Your Job

With your passion for games, you will work in highly motivated, interdisciplinary production teams. As an open-minded generalist, you enjoy ensuring the quality of our technical planning and code base as well as closely collaborating with the entire development team. With your expertise, you create an awesome gaming experience for our players and act as a mentor for your team.

You are an expert at finding creative solutions to complex challenges while keeping a clear head and providing good oversight. You are a go-getter with a solution-oriented mindset and have a sweet spot making everything run smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and participate in all aspects of game development from planning to creating and optimizing game modules and documentation of the frontend and backend.
  • Define technical requirements and restrictions for tasks and architectural choices by working closely with other game departments.
  • Offer exceptional analysis and problem-solving skills for technical and organizational problems by prioritizing and eliminating obstacles to boost confidence in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Collect and incorporate stakeholder requirements in advance, for example related to technology, methodology, and operation in close cooperation with the studio tech director.
  • Manage and mentor the development team with expertise in system design, programming, and optimization to ensure production-ready, high-quality code that can be easily maintained and shared.
  • Endorse a knowledge sharing and collaboration mindset with frequent code reviews, pair-programming sessions, and exchange meetings.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent training as an IT specialist.
  • 6+ years of experience in game programming.
  • Extensive knowledge in C# Unity as well as backend programming with PHP or Java.
  • Profound experience with build-pipelines, performance, and code-size optimization.
  • Successfully shipped multiple games or projects as their Lead Developer.
  • Excellent leadership skills, able to motivate the team, encourage ownership, recognize talents, and drive for excellence using communication and conflict management skills.
  • Good problem analysis skills with the ability to find simple, robust, and efficient solutions for complex problems.
  • Team player who enjoys working with other departments on shared goals with a passion for games.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
