Our customer in the automotive industry has initiated a carve-out project to transition an existing unit into an independent company. As part of this project, SAP and non-SAP systems will be partially rebuilt, adapted, and implemented to meet the requirements of the new organization.
To support this initiative, we are seeking an experienced Data Migration Manager for SAP and non-SAP Systems. This is a full-time role with an occasional on-site presence in Hanover. The expected project duration is 6–12 months, with the possibility of extension.

Tasks
- Develop and execute the data migration strategy for the carve-out project, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Analyze the existing data landscape to identify requirements, challenges, and opportunities for optimization.
- Design and oversee the end-to-end data migration process, including extraction, transformation, validation, and loading.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to define data migration requirements and timelines.
- Establish data quality standards and implement validation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency during migration.
- Coordinate with SAP and non-SAP system teams to ensure data compatibility and integration.
- Monitor migration progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Document all processes, tools, and methodologies to maintain transparency and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members involved in the data migration effort.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in data migration, data management, or related roles, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficiency in SAP data structures (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC) and non-SAP system environments.
- Strong understanding of data governance, quality assurance, and validation processes.
- Experience working on large-scale carve-outs, mergers, or transformations within the automotive or manufacturing industries is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English; German is a plus.
