Our mission is to prevent vision loss and ultimately blindness by developing AI software that assists eye doctors in therapy planning for their patients. We use computer vision deep learning models (AI) trained on thousands of cases and millions of images to identify and predict disease progression. The decision support algorithm targets popular eye diseases like Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD, affecting 7.5 million people in Germany alone).
Tasks
- Build and optimize data pipelines to integrate information from different sources, including imaging and clinical data.
- Apply curiosity, problem-solving skills, and statistical and mathematical knowledge to create impactful solutions.
Requirements
Your must-haves:
- Master’s degree in data science, engineering, computer science, medical physics, or a similar field.
- Experience in computer vision, ideally in medical imaging.
- Applied DevOps knowledge in integration, building, automation testing, and deploying ML pipelines on cloud infrastructure (like GCP, Azure, AWS).
- Applied knowledge of deep learning and machine learning (e.g., CNN, UNet, ML techniques like cross-validation, train/validation/test sets).
- Proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Working-level English (C1 or higher).
Your nice-to-haves:
- Experience working in interdisciplinary teams with doctors, data scientists, and engineers.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
