About The Job:
We are seeking a Presales Engineer Data & AI to join our technical software sales team, focusing on data analytics, artificial intelligence solutions, and enterprise system integrations. This role combines technical expertise with solution architecture to help customers achieve their digital transformation goals.
This is a hybrid position that offers flexibility with a blend of in-office and home working arrangements. While we operate as a virtual team across the region, this role can be based out of any of our DACH offices in Vienna, Zurich, Heidelberg, Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, or Berlin. Occasional travel to client sites will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design cloud-native solutions incorporating AI/ML capabilities, data platforms, and enterprise systems integration for prospective customers.
- Create high-level solution designs and technical architectures to demonstrate value propositions during the sales cycle.
- Develop integration strategies combining open-source technologies with enterprise platforms.
- Partner with sales teams to provide technical expertise during customer engagements and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
- Evaluate customer requirements and propose integrated SAS software solutions integrating with both open-source and enterprise technologies.
- Provide expertise on data migration strategies, security considerations, and integration patterns.
Required Qualifications
- You have the natural aptitude and curiosity to forge trusted client relationships, truly understand their needs, and craft innovative solutions.
- Good understanding of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experienced in data platforms, AI/ML services, and analytics tools.
- Strong background in open-source data science tools and frameworks (Python, R, Jupyter, Apache Spark/Kafka/Airflow, etc).
- Skilled in data technologies such as Data warehousing, lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experienced in agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Knowledge of Integration – APIs, middleware, enterprise service buses.
- Willingness to travel within the DACH region as needed.
- Fluency in German and English.
