Principal Development Engineer - Perovskite/CIGS (m/f/d)

• You are pursuing the goal of adapting the efficiency of CIGS/perovskite tandem solar modules to Si/perovskite tandem modules.
• With the help of your expertise, you will lead the team and develop
  • thin-film coating processes using vacuum processes such as evaporation or sputtering, as well as processes for cleaning the interfaces between the individual layers.
  • thin-film coating processes using hybrid processes with vacuum processes for inorganic perovskite material deposition and solution-based processes for organic perovskite material deposition.
• The development and specification of in- and offline process control measurements and tools to achieve the objectives is a central starting point for you.
• You will also support the specification and process development of manufacturing systems for the production of large-format tandem modules.
• Last but not least, you will summarise the research progress and present it to our international partners (e.g. in Chinese).

Requirements:

• You have successfully completed your PhD in the field of physics, materials science, chemistry or comparable, and you have many years of professional experience in the research and development of tandem solar modules, preferably perovskite/CIGS.
• You have successfully applied your knowledge of agile project management methods in your work over many years.
• In addition to your specialist knowledge of semiconductor process technology and process integration, you will also have expert knowledge of process and system technology for PVD systems and the structural, electrical and/or optical characterisation of thin-film materials.
• Your way of working is characterised by your creative ideas and pragmatic approach. You want to drive issues forward and quickly find practicable solutions.
• Last but not least, you have negotiating skills in written and spoken Chinese and English.
