Your responsibilities

As a Senior Project Engineer (m / f / d) Piping Systems in the Mechanical Engineering department, you will support our national and international (large-scale) projects with a focus on innovative decarbonisation technologies, such as green hydrogen electrolysis plants, carbon capture and storage (CCUS) plants or H2-capable flexible electricity generation plants. Become part of #TeamRWE and take on the following tasks:

  • Project collaboration and responsibility for the technical aspects of the project from conception to completion, focusing on piping systems, tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, cooling systems, and auxiliary systems (balance of plant).
  • Management of orders and project lots with external and internal partners for the planning, procurement, and installation of the aforementioned components.
  • Responsibility for meeting deadlines, quality, and costs within the project.
  • Management of specialist and project-related internal and external relationships to ensure the technical implementation of the above-mentioned focal points.
  • Support during construction and commissioning.
  • Develop, review, and present project decisions and results in the Balance of Plant area of responsibility.
  • Support in the development of feasibility studies and specifications.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies in engineering sciences.
  • Several years (>7 years) of professional experience in the field of Balance of Plant with successful participation in (construction) projects in the energy, chemical, oil and gas, or other relevant sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of the PED and DVGW regulations.
  • Knowledge of the design and operation of one or more of the above-mentioned technical specialisations.
  • High level of teamwork and communication skills, negotiation skills, and results-oriented working methods.
  • Willingness to travel at home and abroad.
  • Business fluent in English.

Plus, not a must

  • Additional language skills.
  • Knowledge of flare design, H2 or gas refuelling stations, and H2 or gas storage.
  • Knowledge of gas and steam turbines (CCGT), gas purification, or liquefaction.
  • Certifications in project management (e.g., IPMA, PMI).
