Commissioning Engineer – High Voltage Substations
We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer for High Voltage GIS & AIS substations (based in Zurich, including worldwide travel). This role involves significant travel, including extended stays abroad, and requires you to be the main contact for customers on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commissioning and testing of systems in collaboration with customer representatives
- Ensure system functionality aligns with specifications and scope of supply
- Identify and report deviations from engineering specifications, inputs, or targets
- Plan and implement corrective actions with the project manager or lead engineer
- Ensure all activities comply with site safety regulations and environmental protection measures
- Participate in site meetings as required by the project team
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanics, or related field, or relevant experience
- Initial experience in Commissioning and/or Control System Engineering
- Fluent in German and English
- Independent and solution-oriented, with the ability to handle challenges
- Site service experience is a plus
- Willingness to travel globally (up to 80% of the time)
