For its Business Unit Advanced Products within the Semiconductor Solutions Group, VAT is looking for a talented Product Manager with profound knowledge in control systems and/or vacuum dynamics for Semiconductor chip manufacturing, as well as visionary views on the upcoming challenges of the leading-edge semiconductor applications. The role is a strategic product management position responsible for business development to transform the upcoming market requirements into technology and product roadmaps with underlying solid business cases. The candidate has a proven track record of solving leading-edge technical challenges. You bring strong business acumen, demonstrate strategic thinking, and know how to further build our customer trust and loyalty. You are able to provide fact-driven proposals to solve complex problems and are passionate about working with and further developing a globally matrixed team of experienced engineers and scientists.

YOUR CHALLENGES

  • Owning the product offering for selected advanced products, initially focusing on a new pressure control system development.
  • Acting as the driver of an incubator for new products in semiconductor applications, particularly related to process control and vacuum dynamics.
  • Engaging with customers and guiding them in finding better solutions for their high-value challenges.
  • Transforming customer needs into actionable product specifications.
  • Initiating and supporting the required innovation projects within the multi-functional matrix team.
  • Developing product roadmaps and marketing strategies together with technology and application teams.
  • Working within a team based in several locations (Haag, Zürich, Mendrisio).

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • Master’s or PhD degree in sciences or engineering, preferably in control systems, electronics, or physics.
  • Profound know-how in product management for high-tech products, e.g., semiconductor equipment.
  • Pro-active collaboration within the matrix organization.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, high level of engagement, ability for strategic and solution-oriented thinking and acting, as well as proactive and responsible teamwork.
  • Negotiating skills in English (fluent in spoken and written); German is an advantage.
  • Willingness to grow your responsibilities and show your potential while taking over ownership.
