Contracts Engineer

As the Contracts Engineer you will be responsible for the day to day delivery of contracts. You will be part of the management team and will work towards achieving the overall objectives of the business by driving high standards of safety, work and continuous improvement in process and quality of operations.

Key Responsibilities& Accountability

• Effective management of all operational requirements and programming to ensure best practice and continuity including responsibility of operational resource levels
• Be financially accountable for projects, manage operational workforce, including sub-contractors, ensuring that the work is adequately instructed and communicated
• Produce and sign off NICEIC certification and other required test data ensuring results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly
• Provide quotations, estimates, purchase materials and provide technical assistance and support to colleagues in the preparation of quotes and tenders
• Carry out inspection audits and visit, attend client meetings, ensure excellent customer services and achievement of KPI’s including customer satisfaction, first time fix, productivity, and financial targets

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

The successful applicant will possess:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a qualifying supervisor for an NICEIC approved company
• Experience of leading team
• Full understanding of the inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken
• Knowledge of all electrical systems in domestic and commercial settings
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of electrical installations and repairs, inspection and testing, emergency lighting and fire alarm service, maintenance, and installation
