What you’ll do & Who you are

What You’ll Do

1. Assist in developing and maintaining shared capabilities and services for use across Product & Technology.
2. Create a complete new team and bring in your ideas to the best working environment.
3. Work on coding tasks and technical implementations under the guidance of senior engineers.
4. Collaborate with product teams to integrate and support shared services effectively.
5. Contribute to improving coding practices, testing, and deployment processes.
6. Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and methodologies in software development.
7. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to gain experience and improve your skills.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Implement features and fixes with support from experienced team members.
2. Support CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Gradle, and Jenkins.
3. Monitor and debug services using observability tools.
4. Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
5. Contribute to cloud-based solutions using AWS or GCP and Kubernetes with a focus on learning and growth.
6. Collaborate with team members to improve documentation, processes, and technical alignment.

Qualifications

1. Some experience with programming languages such as Java, Go, or JavaScript.
2. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
3. Basic knowledge of databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and testing tools (JUnit, Pact); knowledge about messaging systems (Kafka) would be a benefit.
4. Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge and work with build tools like Maven and Gradle.
5. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset; fluent in English (German+ is a bonus).
6. Enthusiastic, proactive, and open to feedback and mentorship.
