What you’ll do & Who you are
What You’ll Do
- Assist in developing and maintaining shared capabilities and services for use across Product & Technology.
- Create a complete new team and bring in your ideas to the best working environment.
- Work on coding tasks and technical implementations under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate and support shared services effectively.
- Contribute to improving coding practices, testing, and deployment processes.
- Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and methodologies in software development.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to gain experience and improve your skills.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Implement features and fixes with support from experienced team members.
- Support CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Gradle, and Jenkins.
- Monitor and debug services using observability tools.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Contribute to cloud-based solutions using AWS or GCP and Kubernetes with a focus on learning and growth.
- Collaborate with team members to improve documentation, processes, and technical alignment.
Qualifications
- Some experience with programming languages such as Java, Go, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
- Basic knowledge of databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and testing tools (JUnit, Pact); knowledge about messaging systems (Kafka) would be a benefit.
- Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge and work with build tools like Maven and Gradle.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset; fluent in English (German+ is a bonus).
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and open to feedback and mentorship.
