Logistics Supply Planner, Europe
(based in Hamburg, Germany) hybrid
Summary:
The Supply Chain Analyst EU is managing the Reese’s brand for the Hersheys both demand planning and customer SC primarily for the EU Europe market. They will deliver a high quality 24 month forecast for the region and support on the consensus and demand review process. They will also be responsible for coordinating production with the plants, managing and planning the container and truck shipments, and working closely with the HBP team to deliver all service KPIs.
They will also support on any joint-value-creation projects in supply chain to customers in conjunction with any cost-saving ideas, and optimization of the flows of supply and information.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Summary of major duties:
Deliver GS
- Delivery monthly, quarterly & FY GS in line with our plan and stretch targets.
- Work closely with HBP team to ensure orders are planned and invoiced as expected, ensuring HBP are prioritizing correctly across all orders.
- Provide clear and precise GS updates to the team, explaining key movements and reasons.
- Work closely with Supply Planning to ensure all items are being produced OTIF for customer orders.
- Ensure accuracy of stock checks and container plans for DN dropping each week.
- Keep distributors informed on any stock movements or cuts that may impact their DOS.
- Ensure on target results for OTD and CFR.
Forecast & DOS Management
- Develop accurate demand forecasts by using a combination of external data and statistical forecasting, integrating insights gained via partnering with Sales, Commercial Planning, Marketing, as well as the Distributors.
- Support the monthly IBM Demand process by inputting to the consensus file and analyzing the total forecast outlook for EU Europe, and the major changes MOM.
- Maintain 24-month operational forecast by item by distribution center in Demand Planning system APO, ensuring upload is as accurate as possible for Supply Planning.
- Input to the forecast for external co-manufacturers.
- Enhance and implement new tools/processes that can be used to improve the overall planning process.
- Participate in the development of strat plan and annual plan where needed.
- Monitor DOS for key distributors, ensuring DOS is at target for key periods.
- Monitor WMAPE & Bias for key distributors, ensuring KPI is met and minimal Supply Planning impact for forecast swings.
Distributor Management
- Work closely with Distributor in setting the optimal inventory stock levels by SKU, taking freshness and historical bias trends into account, to reduce occurrences of OOS.
- Respect each Distributor’s replenishment metrics when discussing the forecast, taking inventory levels, freshness requirements, container utilization, production MOQs, etc. into consideration.
- Ensure a robust & timely communication flow with Distributors for all SC related issues.
- Contribute to driving improvement projects with Distributors in areas of Forecasting, Supply Planning, and Inventory.
NPD & Seasonal Support
- Support the wider team on the development of NPDs and the launches of new co-manufacturers.
- Input operational timelines, data, and context as needed for all projects.
- Perform new item set up for forecast management.
DDD and Stock Management
- Check and approve packaging and raw material write off charges related to discontinuation or replacement of items.
- Closely monitor aging report and take immediate action to reduce DDD charges.
- Work with sales team for opportunities for any aging stock.
- In case of excess stock, co-ordinate with Supply Planner for possibility of re-packing it for US market or work with DDD team for liquidation plans.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business administration, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a quantitative business science preferred, but not a MUST. Master’s degree / Supply Chain Management Diploma / APICS certification are a plus.
Experience: Minimum two years of demand/supply planning working experience. SAP user experience or equivalent is a plus.
