We are seeking a motivated Compliance Officer to oversee compliance processes for both commercial insurance and reinsurance divisions across Germany and the EMEA region. The role involves ensuring regulatory adherence, advancing compliance frameworks, and providing guidance on innovative insurance solutions, particularly in technology and digitalisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, assess, and implement regulatory developments for compliance risks in Germany and the EMEA region.
- Develop and execute compliance frameworks, including policies, processes, training, and communication.
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to guide compliance implementation.
- Act as a primary contact for German regulators, coordinating inspections, inquiries, and data submissions.
- Provide input on global compliance initiatives and group-wide projects.
- Prepare compliance reports for senior management and boards.
Requirements:
- Fluency in English and German ; additional languages are a plus.
- University degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years’ experience in compliance, risk, or governance roles, with expertise in the German market.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including conduct risk, data protection, anti-money laundering, and trade controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
