Connecting PE Funds and their Portfolio Businesses to M&A Professionals.

Camino Search is currently partnered with a PE-backed tech-enabled services business based in DACH region.

We are looking for an Investment / Portfolio Manager to lead on the integration of acquired companies into the group, co-creation and monitoring of the strategy, the value creation plan and the business plan together with the managing directors.

The Investment / Portfolio Manager is measured by the financial results of the investments for which he/she is responsible. In addition, the investment manager will be largely responsible for the execution of further M&A transactions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Validation of new M&A investments: Conducting due diligence to verify commercial and financial assumptions and creating an investment plan that includes a value creation and integration plan.
  2. Post-merger integration: Accompaniment and project management of the commercial integration into the group in the months following the takeover.
  3. Coaching: Coaching of the founders and/or executives of the acquired companies in the integration, growth within the group and alignment with the overarching group strategy. If necessary, management of succession in the Executive Board.
  4. Active participation: You will be the central contact person between the group and your areas of responsibility and help the executives of the acquired companies with the topics of strategy, value creation plan, budget, reporting and project management.
  5. P&L: Take ownership of P&L, ensuring financial and performance metrics are met.
  6. Commercial Lead: Reporting to the owners and management of the group on the overall performance of the acquired companies.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics or a comparable qualification.
  2. Extensive experience in consulting, management and further development of companies.
  3. Preferably experience in management or strategy consulting / investment banking / private equity.
  4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  5. Fluent in German and English.
