Commercial Director – Global Renewable Energy Platform

Our client is a leading Developer and Investor in Renewable Energy Projects with a presence in multiple continents.

They have recently entered the European market and are seeking to appoint a Commercial Director to oversee acquisition opportunities, co-development, and JV partnerships. This hire will be responsible for accelerating entry into the region and will own the business case for development and investment decisions on greenfield projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Working closely with the Greenfield Development team, you will refine the business case and bring projects to successful FID.
2. Lead Business Development activities, originating fresh opportunities to grow the development pipeline through acquisition activities.
3. Leading new market entry strategy.

Requirements:

1. 7+ years in Business Development, Commercial or Investment-related roles in Renewable Energy (ideally significant experience in Germany).
2. Demonstrable experience in M&A execution and commercializing greenfield projects through the development cycle to FID.
3. Strong business network and knowledge of the renewable energy space (Developers, IPPs, Utilities, etc.).
