Project Description: Freelance Senior SAP SAC Consultant

Overview: We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Freelance Senior SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Consultant to lead the deployment, configuration, and optimization of SAP SAC solutions for our business. As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for driving the end-to-end implementation of SAP SAC, including the integration of data sources, configuration of analytical models, creation of reports and dashboards, and enabling business users to make informed, data-driven decisions. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and IT teams to ensure that SAP SAC is fully aligned with business requirements and strategies.

Details:

• Start Date: 17th of March
• Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract, with extensions (long-term project scope of 2+ years)
• Location: Stuttgart, Germany (when required, around 20%)
• Language: Fluent English required; German is desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Consultation and Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with key business stakeholders, data architects, and IT teams to understand business requirements, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Lead workshops and discovery sessions to gather detailed business and technical requirements for reporting and analytics solutions.
• Provide expert-level advice on how SAP SAC can address business challenges and deliver measurable value.
• Define clear project objectives, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations.

Design and Implementation of SAP SAC Solutions:

• Lead the design and architecture of SAP SAC solutions, ensuring they meet business needs for reporting, planning, and data analysis.
• Implement SAC models for data connectivity, data preparation, and data transformation, leveraging best practices.
• Develop analytical models, configure data sources, and establish secure data connections with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, and other third-party systems.
• Build and optimize SAC dashboards, reports, and visualizations for intuitive data insights and decision-making.

Advanced SAP SAC Functionalities:

• Lead the implementation of SAC Planning functionality for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules.
• Utilize SAC’s Predictive Analytics capabilities to develop machine learning-based forecasting models that enhance decision-making processes.
• Leverage SAP SAC’s Digital Boardroom for executive-level reporting and decision support.
• Guide stakeholders on the use of SAC’s Data Wrangling, Smart Predict, and Machine Learning functionalities.

Performance Optimization and Best Practices:

• Ensure the SAC solution is optimized for performance, working to improve model efficiency, report loading times, and data refresh speeds.
• Apply industry best practices for SAC deployment and usage, ensuring the architecture supports scalability and future enhancements.

Data Integration and Data Modelling:

• Manage and troubleshoot data integration from various sources into SAP SAC, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, flat files, and third-party systems.
• Design and implement advanced data models using SAP SAC’s data wrangling and modelling tools.
• Work with stakeholders to define data requirements, create data transformation processes, and ensure data integrity.
• Implement effective data security measures within SAC, ensuring sensitive data is appropriately protected.

Training and Knowledge Transfer:

• Provide end-user training on SAP SAC functionality, reporting features, and dashboard usage to ensure successful adoption.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive user documentation for both technical and non-technical users.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams to build internal capabilities for ongoing SAC maintenance and development.

Collaboration and Leadership:

• Lead cross-functional teams of consultants, developers, and business analysts in the delivery of SAP SAC solutions.
• Guide junior consultants and provide mentorship in best practices, technical approaches, and solution design.
• Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and the exchange of ideas within the team.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Senior SAP SAC Consultant with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and optimizing SAP Analytics Cloud solutions.
• Strong background in SAP Business Intelligence (BI) tools, including SAP BW, SAP S/4HANA, and their integration with SAP SAC.
• Expertise in using SAC for both reporting and planning functions (Budgeting, Forecasting, and Predictive Analytics).
• Advanced knowledge of SAC’s capabilities for data modelling, data wrangling, visualization design, and integration.
• Solid understanding of data connectivity, data extraction, and data modelling in SAP SAC.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, and other SAP data sources (e.g., SAP BEx, SQL-based sources) and how to integrate them into SAP SAC.
• Experience with SAC’s integration into non-SAP systems and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of other SAP BI tools like SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Crystal Reports, or SAP Lumira is a plus.
