Meet the team behind this journey
The EMEA Communications Manager will play a critical role in driving DeepL’s global communications efforts in the region – with a particular focus on the DACH region. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, they will amplify regional awareness of DeepL, ensuring consistent and effective communications across all channels, as well as manage key regional stakeholder relationships. The right candidate will have a proven track record in executing comprehensive communication strategies in this region. They will excel in crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, demonstrate strong project management and writing skills, and possess a deep understanding of B2B and SaaS companies.
Your responsibilities

Drive DeepL’s Comms in our headquarter region, by executing and advising on the communications strategy for our biggest region globally

Expand upon and maintain media and key stakeholder relations. Be our resident expert in all things AI-related in the media landscape

Build a roadmap for DeepL’s communication in the region, establishing strong narratives that foreground DeepL’s leadership in the AI landscape

Manage our local agency and support our efforts to drive our regional comms strategy

Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including press releases, articles, speeches, and presentations that resonate with local audiences and support DeepL\’s strategic goals

Own the creation of local campaigns for the DACH region, targeting media, as well as key local stakeholders

Uphold and strengthen the DeepL brand regionally, partnering with the wider communications team to ensure consistency and overall alignment across various touchpoints

Identify key speaking opportunities, while managing the events calendar and actively accompanying spokespeople to those events

Assist the team in tracking success metrics

Conduct research and analysis as needed to support marketing and communications efforts
Qualities we look for

5+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably in a world-class, high-growth B2B SaaS organisation

A native German speaker is necessary, as well as someone with full fluency in English. A second European language also a strong plus

Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Strong media relations and storytelling abilities

Big picture thinker, able to translate business goals into effective communication strategies

Practical and proactive attitude with a humble approach, comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Excellent project management skills, able to manage budgets and multiple projects simultaneously
