Murzilli Consulting, a digital aviation consultancy business unit operating within the M&K Global AG group, was established in Switzerland in 2020. It has expanded its presence with subsidiaries in Germany, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Sweden, making it a global player in the aviation consulting industry.

Our goal is to assist clients in achieving success with their regulation and compliance strategies and implementations. We act as a digital outsourced regulatory department, helping clients establish effective internal regulatory functions. Our focus is on emerging technologies in crewed and uncrewed aviation, advanced air mobility, and U-space.

We offer governments and private enterprises the opportunity to establish high-performing internal regulatory functions, along with services such as regulatory strategies, UAS and USSP certification, design verification, SORA approvals, and CE marking. Responsibilities:

  1. Define and develop solution level architecture, technical scope, and key interfaces for advanced drone and UTM systems, ensuring integration with ATM and connectivity systems.
  2. Craft detailed technical system requirements derived from market and customer insights, focusing on drone operations and civil aviation authority needs.
  3. Author key technical documents such as interface control documents, system descriptions, and whitepapers, catering to both internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate with software, hardware, and network engineering teams to ensure technical solutions comply with overarching system requirements specific to drone and UTM solutions.
  5. Lead the definition and execution of test procedures to validate system functionality and performance for drone and UTM systems, managing test environments and equipment as necessary.
  6. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, OEMs, partners, and subcontractors, particularly in pursuits and projects involving drone technology and UTM systems.
  7. Organize and participate in technical meetings and design reviews, focusing on drone and UTM technology development.
  8. Document technical scope and level of effort required for each discipline involved in drone and UTM solutions.
  9. This role includes occasional travel (up to 20%), primarily to customer sites and partner facilities.

Basic Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aviation, or a related technical field.
  2. At least 3+ years of relevant experience, particularly with satcom connectivity systems, CNS, and unmanned traffic management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of relevant experience in system engineering with a focus on drone technology and UTM solutions.
  2. Demonstrated technical expertise in developing system requirements and defining architectures for drone operations and UTM systems.
  3. Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle phases, particularly as they relate to aviation and connectivity applications.
  4. Familiarity with FAA/EASA regulatory processes and requirements management tools.
  5. Proven ability to influence diverse stakeholders and achieve technical concurrence.
  6. Excellent time management skills, self-discipline, and communication abilities.
