Position: M&A Associate – Munich-Based Investment Banking Team
We are currently looking for an experienced M&A Associate to join our clients rapidly growing investment banking team based in Munich.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and review of sector/company-specific valuations and financial models (DCF, LBO, etc.) for both origination and execution projects.
- Manage the preparation of marketing materials, pitches, and transaction documents (teasers, IMs, management presentations, etc.).
- Identify and develop target lists and transaction opportunities for both buy-side and sell-side deals, contributing to the ongoing origination process under the leadership of senior bankers.
- Take responsibility for the execution of M&A and private placement processes, acting as a Project Manager with support from a team of financial analysts and interns, and guidance from senior bankers.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders (lawyers, sponsors, accountants, etc.) throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Assist senior bankers in producing regular sector reports by analyzing key drivers within sub-verticals of the Technology and Healthcare ecosystems.
- Mentor and guide financial analysts and interns within the team.
- Maintain client relationships throughout the deal execution period, attending key meetings and working directly with senior management.
- Facilitate smooth information exchange and execution across Bryan Garnier’s global offices, ensuring effective management of cross-border transactions.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong academic record.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of M&A experience in Investment Banking, a boutique advisory firm, or a Big 4 M&A team.
- Prior experience in the Technology or Healthcare sectors is a plus.
- Demonstrated drive, determination, and self-starter mentality.
- Expertise in financial modelling and business planning.
- A strong team player capable of delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English, with a good command of German .
- Excellent professional writing skills, particularly in preparing relevant documents and announcements.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must be based in Munich or open to relocation.
