About the Role:

The Investment Manager will play a key role in identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting comprehensive due diligence, and providing strategic support to portfolio companies. This position offers a complete view of the investment cycle, from deal sourcing to portfolio management, and the opportunity to work closely with industry leaders and high-potential startups.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Sourcing and Origination

• Identify and source potential investment opportunities within target sectors.
• Build a pipeline of companies aligned with the firm’s investment strategy, focusing on high-potential tech-driven businesses.

Due Diligence and Deal Execution

• Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective investments, including financial analysis, market research, and competitor benchmarking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external advisors to assess risks and returns.
• Support deal structuring and negotiations, contributing to term sheet development, financial modeling, and deal execution.

Portfolio Management

• Provide strategic guidance to portfolio companies, supporting their growth by identifying operational improvements and market expansion opportunities.
• Oversee financial reporting and performance tracking for portfolio companies, conducting regular performance reviews and valuation assessments.
• Engage in portfolio companies‘ strategic initiatives, including potential M&A activities.

Market Research and Stakeholder Communication

• Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform investment decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including portfolio company executives, industry partners, and investors.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or consulting, with exposure to digital and tech-driven sectors preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree or CFA qualification is a plus.
• Skills: Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with a proven ability to conduct due diligence. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with C-level executives and entrepreneurs.
• Language: Fluency in English; German is a plus.
• Location: Hamburg-based, with some flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.
