ISS is seeking to appoint:
Human Resources Director (all genders)
Starting as soon as possible. This position is a maternity/parental leave cover for two years. Are you ready to take on a strategic leadership role in Human Resources? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Director to lead our HR department and ensure alignment with our school’s mission and goals. This is an internal-only opportunity for an individual who is passionate about fostering a positive work environment and driving HR excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
- Lead and manage the HR department, ensuring strategic direction and team alignment with school objectives.
- Oversee workload and responsibilities, ensuring effective team management.
- Ensure excellent leadership practice.
- Collaborate with the School Director and Business Director on HR strategic matters.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment process for new and returning staff, including preparation, advertisement, job offers, and acting as the contact person for applicants.
- Coordinate recruitment fairs as needed.
- Ensure efficient staff requirements planning and alignment with organizational needs.
- Ensure smooth onboarding, including induction week planning and relocation support.
- Support new hires with contract, salary, and benefits-related queries.
Works Council
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements in collaboration with the works council.
- Participate in works council meetings and negotiations for works agreements.
Offboarding & HR Systems
- Oversee employee offboarding, ensuring a smooth transition and compliance with legal requirements.
- Manage and enhance the use of Rexx HR and the Teams HR Portal for efficiency and effectiveness.
Other responsibilities
- Supervise payroll processes, salary preparation, and compliance with tax regulations.
- Ensure proper handling of benefits, parental leave, and sabbaticals.
- Serve as a key contact for employee concerns and workplace culture.
- Lead HR-related projects and continuously improve HR policies and processes.
- In collaboration with the Strategic Leadership Team, particularly the Business Director, provide the School Director with personnel budget relevant figures.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong leadership experience in HR management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge of HR policies, payroll, and compliance.
- Proven ability to lead projects and drive strategic HR initiatives.
- Familiarity with HR software and process optimization.
- A completed university degree or a commercial apprenticeship with additional relevant qualifications.
