As a working student at FD-Tech, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our testing system for ADAS functions. Our system integrates a simulation environment (Carla), a test manager (Python), and the device under test (ROS2 component). It is distributed across multiple devices and utilizes Docker for containerization.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing concepts to further enhance the testing system
  • Implementing new features and improving existing components (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Integrating ADAS functions into the system (ROS2 & Docker) for validation and demonstration purposes
  • Orchestrating and setting up Carla scenarios and managing the results
  • Documenting the system and supporting colleagues in setting up and using it

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a degree program in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field
  • Basic programming experience in at least one of the following: Python or C++
  • Familiarity with Unix-based systems
  • Experience with ROS2
  • Knowledge of Docker is a plus
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • High level of initiative and curiosity
  • Fluent in English, B2 German skills preferred
