About the role
In this position you will develop the Automation Roadmap for our two (front-end) manufacturing sites in Hamburg and Manchester and drive resulting automation projects. For this, you work closely with relevant Stakeholders like our local Engineering and Waferfab Teams, IT or Business Excellence Program Managers.
What you will do:**
- Develop the Front-end Automation roadmap in alignment with the Waferfab teams
- Develop business cases and present proposals to the corresponding decision boards
- Establish benchmark reports and conduct market researches
- Identify further opportunities by industry benchmarking and develop a customized Waferfab Automation strategy
- Drive the approved automation projects
- Project management support and lead
- Coordinate activities with local Waferfab engineering teams and dedicated Business Excellence program managers
- Support the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) programs
- Be the interface to IT and other stakeholders
What you will need:**
- Master ’s Degree ideally in a technical field
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in a similar environment
- Direct experience with factory automation, factory dispatching systems and manufacturing execution systems preferred
- Preferably relevant work experience within Semiconductors, especially with semiconductor equipment and processes
- Team player with a strong drive to achieve success and a pronounced hands-on mentality
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel to our Waferfabs (Hamburg and Manchester) and establish a good relationship with the local teams
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written), German language skills are beneficial
- Challenge the status quo and think out of the box
- Ability to find solutions for problems
- Hands-on mentality
