The primary purpose of the Learning Partner role at Boehringer Ingelheim University is to serve a strategic advisor and facilitator for learning and development (L&D) initiatives. This role involves guiding business areas or learning units through the L&D value chain, which includes supporting the identification of learning needs, understanding effective design for learning solutions and the development of engaging content and experiences, in addition to reinforcing the implementation and evaluation of learning initiatives. The Learning Partner ensures alignment between learning initiatives and business goals, promotes best practices, fosters continuous improvement, and provides expertise, support, and coordination. By doing so, they enable the organization to maximize the value and impact of its learning and development efforts, thereby contributing to the upskilling of our employees and the overall success of the business.

Tasks & Responsibilities
Learning and Development Consulting
- In your new role you will consult across the L&D value chain, touching on skills/roles, learning design/methods, success measurement, launch activities, and academy structure.
- Partner with key business stakeholders, including HRBPs, fostering the development and execution of learning strategies, needs assessments, and skill/competency frameworks.
- Present and discuss the importance of L&D strategies to diverse audiences, including Corporate & R/OPU, and leadership teams.
Content Development and Curation
- Play a key role in sculpting the defining, designing, and development of learning content and outcomes, utilizing both internal and external content sources, with a keen eye on reducing duplication of transferable learning.
- You will review and support Virtual Campus directories/plans/pathways during the curation phase and beyond, offering insight on when to borrow, buy, or build content.
Vendor and Learning Service Support
- Support the vendor selection process, providing valuable feedback to the core team, supporting the review of relevant RFPs, and ensuring awareness of the global learning services catalog for all support requests from learning units.
- Step up to the plate when necessary to participate in vendor pitches and RFP processes, ensuring learning units are equipped with the best possible solution for their learning needs.
Learning Management Community Engagement
- Additionally, you will ensure that business learning units are aware of and understand the guidelines expected within L&D across Boehringer Ingelheim.
- Be the facilitator in communication and alignment across Academies/Learning Management Community.
- Guide learning managers through the Virtual Campus onboarding process.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
- Long-term experience in Learning & Development with a focus on learning design and/or learning consulting in an expert role within an international corporation
- Experience in leading global, cross-functional projects an designing and implementing learning programs and tools
- Ability to communicate and build relationships across functions and to link corporate goals with learning activities
- Independent, efficient, and result-oriented way of working combined with high commitment as well as strategic, analytical, agile and target group-oriented mindset
- Additional training in the field of learning/training/coaching is an advantage
- Business fluent in English is a must, German language skills is a plus
