Emerson Manager Upgrade DACH in LANGENFELD (RHEINLAND), Germany

We have a great opportunity for an expert in the field of automation, with good team leadership and customer interaction skills, to become a part of our team in Langenfeld!

The role will be responsible for Operational Management of the Upgrade Leadership Team in various locations of the DACH Region to ensure the successful delivery of large and complex Upgrade projects. Their focus will be on lowering risk in the projects, continuous improvement of related business processes and development of strategic direction of group in line with long term plan of the business. They will also ensure the development of highly qualified engineers and consultants in the business and improve the execution processes, in order to allow us to meet market requirements. They will also have a hands-on on role in certain Upgrade projects, travelling to customer sites when needed to provide their support.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Functional Expertise

  • Be the primary interface for large and complex upgrades to the Lifecycle services DACH organization.
  • Be responsible for the S&OP planning of Upgrades in the DACH region.
  • Rolling out standard practices for the proposal and execution of the Upgrades.
  • Support sales in the pursuit phase together with the Upgrade and the Service teams by reviewing/preparing Upgrade proposals and presenting Upgrade engineering delivery capabilities to customers.

Business

  • Participates in strategic business planning and annual budgeting processes.
  • Understand market trends and Emerson’s strategic direction and implement plans to ensure that upgrade capabilities are in alignment with these.

Leadership & Interpersonal

  • Work in conjunction with other members of the senior management team in Lifecycle services to ensure that the group meets its financial performance targets.
  • Drive and embed a culture of continuous improvement of performance and innovation to deliver efficiency and quality of execution.
  • Manage, mentor and develop members of the team.
  • Creates and sustains an environment conducive to successful team interaction.
  • Assure good and efficient cooperation with Centers of Excellence.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Completed University studies in Engineering or equivalent work-based experience.
  • Proven experience in Project/Lifecycle Services and coordination activities.
  • Functional understanding and experience of Upgrades is essential.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the process industry.
  • A high level of customer interfacing skills.
  • Language skills: Proficient in German and English (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Commercial understanding of Projects will be very helpful.
  • Line Management experience.
  • Previous experience in working with end-users.
