Professorship in Pure Mathematics
The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Münster, Germany, invites applications for a Professorship (W3 level) in Pure Mathematics, Chair of Bridging the Gaps.
This chair aims to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Christopher Deninger. It will play a vital role within the Cluster of Excellence Mathematics Münster and the Collaborative Research Center 1442 Geometry: Deformations and Rigidity.
Research Objectives
We seek a mathematician with an exceptional international research profile whose work bridges different areas of mathematics and aligns with our Cluster\’s research objectives. We encourage applications from researchers working at the intersection of well-established mathematical fields in Münster, including arithmetic, topology, and geometry.

Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must have a doctoral degree in mathematics or a related field, an outstanding international research profile, and corresponding teaching experience.
We expect academic achievements made as a Juniorprofessor, in a Habilitation, or as a member of the academic staff of a university or non-university research institute.
