Site Manager – German corridors

Role Definition

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Act as focal point with Customer and third parties for the supervision of the technical and operative aspects of the pre-lay activities related to the power cable system.

2. Act as interface between Customer, Civil works contractors, and Cable laying subcontractors for planning of the activities, for the check of civil works execution, and for check of the infrastructures.

3. Supervise the laying operation performed by subcontractors.

4. Keep a record diary of the activities on site, managing the execution of the subcontractors in respect of the plan submitted and the contract operative requirements.

5. Supervise the backfilling operation realized by third-party company in terms of timing, quality, and cable protection.

6. Site supervision taking care of resources (personnel and assets), technical aspects, logistic, and HSE management on site.

7. Ensure compliance with internal rules and procedures during the entire process.

8. Support the preparation of the method statements and other documentation necessary to carry out the works on site in cooperation with and under the supervision of Installation Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

1. Ability to manage technical and operative aspects of a job including attention to technical documentation, understanding of drawings and procedures, to be implemented through a process of learning and experience on field.

2. Leadership attitude and capability to guide a team to reach a pre-set target.

3. Good relationship approach with Clients and subcontractors.

4. Problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities in coordination with Management.

5. Attitude to fast learning and self-commitment.

6. Knowledge and familiarity with all basic and common software tools like Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Internet use.

7. Proficiency in German and English, written and spoken.

8. Willingness to travel frequently, domestically and abroad.

9. Availability to spend long periods in Germany.

10. Program flexibility.

11. Valid driving license.
