SOFTGAMES is looking for a talented freelance Narrative Designer – Fully Remote with expert writing skills to collaborate with our team of writers. This is a fully remote opportunity for a skilled professional who can craft compelling stories and bring characters to life in our games.

Qualified applicants will be asked to complete a Narrative Design test as part of the selection process.

Your role:

  • Create highly engaging story outlines and dialogues.
  • Define and maintain the narrative vision, shaping character development and storytelling.
  • Seamlessly integrate writing with game design to enhance both creative and monetization goals.
  • Iterate and refine narratives based on internal/external playtests, game metrics, team feedback, and community input.

Your profile:

  • 2+ years of experience in Narrative Design and Game Writing or comparable screenwriting background.
  • Deep understanding of Narrative Design principles and Game Writing techniques.
  • General knowledge of F2P mobile game design pipelines and current market trends.
  • Exceptional proofreading and copyediting skills.
  • Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to write at a native-level proficiency in English, with outstanding grammar and style.
  • Based in a Central European timezone (±3 hours) for better collaboration.
