Senior Software Engineer – NEXT.JS (m/f/x)

At Atolls Germany, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team in Berlin. Your role will be instrumental in providing a seamless web experience that enables users to find the Smart Shopping capability that best matches their intent through search, navigation, and a personalized home page.

In this role, you will:

1. Design and develop modern architectures using NEXT.JS, AWS technologies, Microservices, NoSQL, and event-driven architectures .
2. Take ownership of solution architecture, improving performance, security, scalability, modularity, and operational efficiency.
3. Drive feature development from inception to delivery, contributing to an ambitious product roadmap.
4. Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and hands-on exposure to emerging technologies.
5. Foster an open communication culture, encouraging feedback and supporting conflict resolution.

Your Profile:

We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in software development, dedicated to creating exceptional user experiences and driving innovation.

Mandatory Skills:

1. Expertise in NEXT.JS or AngularJS , with experience building reusable libraries using atomic design principles.
2. Strong foundation in object-oriented programming and concurrent event-based systems .
3. Advanced proficiency in TypeScript , including its environment and type system.
4. Extensive experience with GraphQL .
5. Knowledge of end-to-end (E2E) testing tools such as WebdriverIO , Selenium , or similar.
6. A keen architectural mindset with a strong understanding of application design patterns.
7. Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken).
8. Experience with PHP Symfony (a plus).
9. Basic understanding of SQL databases and schema-less database concepts.
10. Familiarity with AWS Cloud services and serverless computing .
11. Working knowledge of Apollo GraphQL .
12. Proficiency in designing and building microservices using Node.js .
