Role Overview: We are seeking a Managing/Principal (Technical) Consultant to join our team in Berlin, focusing on EU Green Deal policies and Sustainable Finance . This role is ideal for an experienced professional with deep expertise in EU sustainability regulations, financial market dynamics, and corporate ESG strategies. You will work with leading financial institutions, policymakers, and corporate clients to navigate sustainability regulations and implement impactful strategies.

About the role:

Lead and manage sustainability and ESG-related projects for clients in the financial and corporate sectors.

Advise clients on EU Green Deal policies, including the EU Taxonomy, SFDR, CSRD, and related regulatory frameworks.

Develop and implement sustainable finance strategies, including ESG risk management, sustainable investment, and impact assessment.

Engage with key stakeholders, including regulators, policymakers, financial institutions, and corporates.

Conduct research, analysis, and reporting on emerging sustainability trends and regulations.

Support business development by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and expanding client relationships.

Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
About you:
- University degree in a relevant subject area (e.g., business administration, economics, finance, law, politics, public policy, sustainability).
- Approximately 4–8 years of work experience in total.
- Proven ability to manage projects, ensuring desired outcomes, adherence to timelines, and budget compliance.
- Experience managing teams in a project environment (required) and line management experience (desired).
- Exceptional analytical and writing skills, with the ability to translate technical analysis into actionable business insights.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to convey content visually, including guiding others to achieve this effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with the capability to provide technical guidance and conduct quality assurance/control.
- Strong communication skills, attuned to client and team expectations—both written and spoken—delivering clear and succinct messages supported by robust analysis and data.
- Fluency in English (required); fluency in German (preferred).
