Business Analyst (m/f/d) PropTech & Innovation

Location: Berlin

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our dynamic team for the Aroundtown accelerator. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role evaluating startups for the accelerator and potential investments, conducting due diligence, providing mentorship, and assisting with building and running of the accelerator.

Your tasks

Sourcing and Screening:

• Proactively identify and evaluate potential startups for the accelerator.
• Conduct preliminary assessments of companies, including market analysis and financial modelling.

Due Diligence:

• Analyze financial statements, business models, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with external experts and advisors as needed.

Financial Modelling:

• Create and maintain financial models to evaluate investment opportunities.
• Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess risk and return profiles.

Market Research:

• Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
• Provide market intelligence to inform investment decisions.

Investment Committee Support:

• Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
• Present findings and recommendations to the investment team.

Accelerator Activities:

• Assist with running of the accelerator
• Provide business guidance to startups where appropriate

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills
• Familiar with the startups space
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
