About our client
Our client is a growing healthcare company, backed by an established private equity investor, dedicated to expanding their network through a strategic buy-and-build approach. Their mission is to provide exceptional patient care while driving growth and operational efficiency across their network. They are currently seeking a Controller to join their team and support them throughout their exciting growth journey. The position will be located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, with some home office flexibility. What the job involves
The Controller will serve as a strategic partner to the CFO, Finance Director, medical practices, clinics, and external accountants. This role involves independently overseeing controlling functions for assigned locations, with regular reporting to management. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, forecasts, and annual business plans, supporting budget negotiations, and providing comprehensive financial analyses and reports.
- Actively participate in company development and act as a sparring partner for top management
- Perform controlling business partnering for the commercial directors/doctors of the medical care practices and clinics
- Manage controlling functions for assigned locations
- Manage the consolidation of financial results and prepare reports for senior management and external stakeholders
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Create and monitor business plans, budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc reports
- Perform variance analyses and ad-hoc evaluations
- Enhance and optimise internal reporting structures, key figures, and processes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve concepts, tools, and processes in controlling and finance
Who we are looking for
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
- Several years of experience working in a Controlling or Finance position, ideally in the healthcare sector
- Previous experience working with private equity investors is highly beneficial
- Experience with Datev and LucaNet is appreciated
- Proficiency in common MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excel/BI modelling skills are a plus
- Hands-on mentality and willingness to roll up your sleeves
- Self-motivated and driven with an eye for detail
- Analytical thinking and data driven approach
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in both German and English
