Our Swiss-based Cloud Native stream, consisting of 25 professionals, collaborates closely with clients to support them in their organizational and technical journey into the cloud-native world. We design, build, and manage critical cloud-based IT infrastructures, relying on our proven, standardized tool stack for container platforms, security measures, and CI/CD solutions. To expand our team, we’re seeking a Senior System Engineer. In this role, you will lead challenging customer projects and act as the Single Point of Contact for select Service Level Agreements. Tasks What You Will Do with Us Act as the technical lead on large projects, ensuring quality standards are met. Use thorough requirements engineering to guarantee that clients receive what they truly need—even if they aren’t sure what that is. Manage complex, critical systems, apply necessary updates, and resolve incidents or other issues to keep systems on track. Plan and implement sophisticated (multi-)cloud or on-premises platforms. Provide comprehensive support, tackle high-priority issues, and assist junior and professional team members in critical situations. Continuously expand your knowledge in HashiCorp Vault and GitLab through training and project involvement. Requirements Must-Have Hard Skills Proficiency in both written and spoken German. Five to eight years of experience as a system engineer in cloud environments. A strong DevOps background—CNCF and HashiCorp stacks, GitLab, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, DevSecOps, IaC, and GitOps. Broad experience in software development and an understanding of how to successfully migrate software to the cloud. Strong networking skills and the ability to translate advanced concepts into smart network designs. Ability to identify security vulnerabilities early on and knowledge of how to address them effectively. Expertise in optimizing existing automations and developing new ones to streamline and enhance operations. A sound understanding of the relationship between technology and business and how to align both effectively. Nice-to-Have Qualifications GitLab, HashiCorp, Red Hat, and/or SUSE certifications. Experience with SUSE products. AWS, Azure, and/or GCP certifications. Must-Have Soft Skills You thrive on challenges and see solutions where others see problems.
