This position reports to

Metals Cluster Manager for Europe

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the provision of contract management services, ensuring all contract management activities are executed in accordance with the relevant group/division/business directives and instructions including company procedures and the contract management framework. Each day, you will ensure that the portfolio of contracts in the business follows contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by reviewing and commenting on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions. The work model for the role is: hybrid. #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Metals Cluster Manager for Europe in Mannheim. You will be mainly accountable for: supporting offer preparation by identifying potential risks in offers and related contractual agreements with customers and other contractual partners Design, drafting, negotiation, and finalization of contracts related to
national and international projects in the process industry, including contract review, interpretation, and commentary, as well as checking incoming orders Participation in and shaping of internal approval processes, and claim management (creation, processing, and defense) Assisting the project execution department in all contractual aspects and working closely with relevant departments, such as tax and legal departments You will join talented team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are engaged in learning continuously in order to stay one step ahead of the necessary adjustments to changing market conditions
  • You have several years of professional experience in the field of contract law
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge in the area of contract law and in contract drafting and reviewing
  • Willingness to work in an international environment and to travel
  • You have strong assertiveness and negotiation skills combined with a hands-on mentality and independent working skills
  • You are at ease communicating in German and English
