Your responsibility
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and enhancement of advanced pricing models to support underwriting initiatives and product development using actuarial and data science techniques
- Develop pricing tools for testing purposes (e.g., in Excel / Python) in collaboration with the business and define specifications of pricing models for implementation in underwriting IT systems
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to underwriting and/or senior management based on pricing analyses
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and finance teams to support business objectives and optimize pricing strategies
- Optimize pricing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory change to continuously improve pricing models and practices
- Location: Basel or Zurich Stettbach with Flex-Office option
Your qualification
- Degree in a quantitative field (Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field requiring modeling, programming, or quantitative analysis)
- Professional actuarial designation (e.g., SAV, DAV, IFoA) is highly preferred
- Relevant experience in insurance/reinsurance pricing or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex data and derive actionable insights
- Strong communication skills and high customer orientation, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively
- Good level of proficiency with tools like SAS, R, Python, SQL Server, MS Office VBA
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team
- Fluent in English and German, proficiency in additional languages is a plus
