This position reports to

Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the area of product marketing in the medium voltage environment and the expansion of the partner business at ABB. This includes regular trips abroad, training on the product range, analyzing partner needs and market requirements and implementing the 5-step model. Further focal points are the development and implementation of partner strategies, comprehensive partner support and the representation of the company at trade fairs and conferences. Travel abroad (30-50%) to ABB units/partners for medium-voltage products Training of employees on medium-voltage product range: presentation of the portfolio, identification of application/sales opportunities Analysis of partner requirements: Possible solutions based on product portfolio, cooperation levels, technical clarifications, selection/evaluation of decision criteria Determination of market requirements: Competitive behavior, market shares, project identification, partner
support for tenders Identification of white spots and implementation of the 5-step model for new partners Creation and implementation of a partner strategy with global management and local units Support for partners during plant visits, participation in partner events Follow-up/support of partner projects incl. participation in negotiations, offer revision Carrying out market studies and partner surveys Creation of sales-specific product presentations * Global representation of the factory location and products at trade fairs and conferences

Qualifications for the role

  • Successfully completed (technical) university degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
  • Relevant professional experience in the OEM/partner business and in technical product marketing, ideally in an international context
  • Knowledge of medium-voltage products desirable, but not a must
  • Fluent written and spoken English, other foreign languages an advantage
  • Good IT skills, e.g. with MS Office – ideally knowledge of SAP
  • Confident communication skills, strong customer orientation and a high level of initiative paired with a strong networker mentality
  • High willingness to travel, also in an international environment
