Junior Procurement Specialist Geneva (w/m/d)
Your Future Lorenz Switzerland AG is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Procurement Specialist to join our team in Geneva. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and services necessary for our operations. As a Junior Procurement Specialist, you will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to manage purchasing activities, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Handle day-to-day procurement tasks for raw materials like vegetable oils and corn derivatives
Engage with internal teams (QA, Production, Logistics, Marketing, Sales) and external partners (suppliers, logistics providers) for seamless operations in a global setting
Evaluate offers, participate in supplier selection, and support supplier development with senior procurement managers
Create, monitor, and manage purchasing contracts to ensure compliance and efficiency
Ensure timely material availability, address quality, quantity, and delivery deviations, and prevent bottlenecks
Support market analysis and reporting to assist sales and customer service teams
Analyze and coordinate stock levels in partnership with the supply chain team
Maintain procurement-related master data in tools like SAP
Contribute to the implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives
Assist in order processing, pricing, sales data management, logistics, claims, and contract management for the Nuts & Dried Fruit B2B business
Your Profile We are looking for graduates (Master, Bachelor) with a degree in Business (preferably with a focus on Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, or Procurement) or comparable business education. Familiarity with international procurement, particularly in FMCG or commodity trading, is an asset but not required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
Basic IT skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel proficiency is essential); knowledge of SAP is a plus
good knowledge of German and fluent in English
Strong communication skills and intercultural competency
A proactive and hands-on approach, with a willingness to learn
Ability to work under pressure, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Open-minded and eager to adopt new technologies
Willingness to travel as part of the onboarding process
Swiss or EU passport and the right to work in Switzerland
