Role Description
Head of IT Blog is the owner of the Blog as a product within ElectroNeek ecosystem. Head of IT Blog has experience in developing and growing IT Blogs for Software companies and experience in managing the team of content writers and SEO specialists. The main goals of Head of IT Blog are:
- Grow the number of unique visitors
- Organize the production of high-quality content for the Blog
- Manage the team as an effective business unit
All other activities serve the achievement of these important objectives. Head of IT Blog is responsible for developing and performing a content strategy, leading brainstorming sessions on blog performance, overseeing the performance of a team of writers, and communicating with other departments of the company to achieve the goal of the blog growth.
Responsibilities
- Hiring and managing the team of writers for the Blog
- Developing a content strategy and prioritizing blog topics
- Following and adopting popular trends in Business/IT blogging
- Managing a blogging calendar (make sure posts go out on schedule)
- Visual and functional development of blog
- Guiding the coordination between professional writers and internal contributors
- Teaching and training internal individual contributors
- Finding and managing guest bloggers
- Growth of unique monthly visitors to the blog to 50k/month as a first goal and to 1m/month in the future
- Leading brainstorming sessions
- Analytics on the blog performance
Requirements
- Proven record of successful blog management (Business/IT/Software, B2B preferred)
- Experience in development of IT/Software blogs
- Knowledge of key metrics and analytics software
- Team management skills and experience
- Experience in strategic planning for the blog
- Hubspot/SemRush/Jira knowledge
- Strong copywriting skills + SEO skills
