Overview
To strengthen our Intellectual Property department, we are looking for a highly experienced and motivated person who enjoys working in an international environment and is open to utilising their expertise with us. You will support the two existing contact persons in the IP area and will be responsible for all activities in connection with patents and trade mark rights. The two experienced SKAN employees will of course support you with onboarding and in particular with familiarisation with all Isolator-specific topics.
Responsibilities
- Researching and analysing patents and technical developments
- Revising and implementing patent strategies
- Preparing and filing patent applications
- Monitoring the patent portfolio
- Collaboration with external law firms
- Advising & training internal teams on patent issues
- Competition monitoring and infringement checks
- Carrying out freedom-to-operate analyses
- Authorised representative before the European Patent Office (European Patent Attorney)
- Several years of sound experience in patent work, in particular in dealing with patent databases and patent law, is essential for this role
- In-depth knowledge in the technical field (e.g. mechanical engineering, process engineering, medical technology) is a great advantage
- Good German and English language skills are required
