On behalf of one of our clients, we are seeking to recruit a:
Legal Counsel – 6 months
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of contracts with all relevant internal (e.g., marketing and digital marketing, enrolment, academic, operations, IT, procurement) and external parties.
- Provide legal advice on an ad hoc basis and general support on legal related matters to mitigate legal risks.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
- Support and implement measures related to the group data protection & anticorruption programs.
- Serve as primary contact point for staff for initiating contract reviews.
- Prepare diverse legal documentation (e.g., cancellation letters, addenda, settlement agreements, terms and conditions, and other customer-facing materials).
- Provide legal support on internal policies and procedures and other documentation for all entities.
- Participate in special projects and audits.
- Provide general support to the General Counsel.
Profile:
- University degree in business law.
- Admission to the bar and/or equivalent additional qualifications is a plus.
- 2-5 years working experience in a position as legal counsel and/or in a law firm.
- Experience in data protection compliance is a plus.
- Familiarity with Swiss, UK, and French laws principles and keen to understand legal challenges in the markets we operate in.
- Good understanding of business processes in an international and decentralized organization.
- Excellent English and French as working languages; Spanish is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Sound business acumen.
- Ability to work successfully and professionally in a multicultural and multi-brand environment.
- Ability to work autonomously and liaise with senior management.
- Ideally, candidates should have Swiss residency and a valid work permit.
