System Administrator (m/f/d)

This is us
Our Main and Personnel Office is a cross-sectional office and is responsible, among other things, for the information and communication technology of the district administration.
These are your tasks
- Network management
- Development and updating of IT network concepts – hardware, operating systems and operating system-related software (networks, servers, etc.) and participation in their implementation
- Ensuring the operational security of the systems in the overall network
- Network administration
- Participation in the selection and procurement of system hardware, system and system-related software (for active components in the network), e.g. preparation of service specifications
- Coordination with external partners (service providers, ZIT-BB, subordinate institutions)
- Network security
- Planning, procurement, monitoring and administration of network security components (firewalls, anti-virus software, etc.)
- Development of concepts to improve network security
- Ensuring network security at interfaces to external networks
- Conceptual work
- Collaboration in the implementation of IT baseline protection in cooperation with the ITSB and other administrators
- Collaboration in the creation of emergency concepts and recovery plans in the event of cyberattacks, etc.
- Collaboration on the medium to long-term IT strategy of the district administration
- Participation in the implementation and further development of the Havelland district’s digitization strategy in cooperation with the committees involved
- Documentation of work steps
- Collaboration in the disaster control crisis team if required
What you bring with you
- University degree in computer science (Bachelor’s degree) or a comparable degree
- Sound knowledge of IT and network administration
- Very good specialist knowledge in the desired area of responsibility, as well as in related technologies
- A sense of responsibility and deadlines as well as strong communication skills
- Familiarity with the topics of data protection and data security
- Class B driving license
