Junior Software Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and innovative PLC Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a software engineer with a strong background in object-oriented programming and a keen interest in machine automation.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Programming Skills: Basic experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) languages such as Java , Kotlin , or C# (scripting languages like Python are not relevant for this role).
• Interest in Automation: Passion for machine automation, specifically in industries like automotive assembly lines.
• Willingness to Travel: Flexible and eager to travel to customer sites for equipment commissioning and support.
• Excellent English (C1) language; German is a plus.
• Big advantage: Having any practical experience through an internship or student placement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Design and develop machine control software in IEC 61131-3 standards using platforms such as Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 or Siemens Ax.
• Commissioning: Commissioning activities at customer sites, ensuring systems are operational and meet project requirements.
• HMI/SCADA Development: Create intuitive and efficient Human-Machine Interfaces and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems using tools like TwinCAT 3 HMI Server, SIMATIC WinCC Unified, or VisiWin7.
• Specialization: Gain expertise in either Siemens Ax or Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 to become a domain specialist in your field.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and electrical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware systems.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to understand requirements, provide updates, and deliver high-quality solutions.
