The EpiCrossBorders Research School Program is an international and interdisciplinary PhD program. It is a joint initiative of Helmholtz Munich (Germany) and the Edinburgh University in Edinburgh (UK) centered on epigenetics research. This PhD Program provides an optimal research and training environment for graduate students to conduct their PhD research in the field of epigenetics.

The position is limited until 31.07.2026 as a maternity substitution.

Your tasks

  • You are the first and trusting contact point for international students.
  • You handle the general administrative tasks of the graduate school, e.g. answering general e-mails, performance records, attendance lists, consent forms.
  • You organize seminar series, workshops, and training courses.
  • You maintain the homepage and social media.
  • You help to organise visa, work and residence permits as well as for orders and budgeting.

Your profile

  • You have completed a commercial apprenticeship/secretarial training or equivalent or have gained equivalent professional experience.
  • You are proficient in English and German with strong communication skills at all levels of employees, scientists, and management.
  • You have an independent and structured way of working, are solution-oriented, with team spirit.
  • You have good knowledge in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Video conferencing.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of visas, work and residence permits is an advantage.
