The Role
As an M&A Manager / Senior Manager , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction through M&A and corporate development initiatives. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic transactions that enhance the company’s competitive positioning. This role requires a strong combination of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and execution capabilities, along with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end M&A and corporate development strategy , from market screening and target identification to transaction execution and post-merger integration.
- Develop and refine the strategic roadmap for growth, identifying key market trends, competitive dynamics, and investment opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth financial modeling, valuation analysis, and scenario planning to assess potential acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships.
- Structure and negotiate complex transactions , collaborating with internal teams and external advisors across legal, tax, finance, and operational functions.
- Prepare and deliver investment cases, board presentations, and strategic recommendations to senior executives.
- Build and maintain relationships with investment banks, private equity funds, and industry stakeholders to enhance deal flow and market intelligence.
- Drive post-transaction integration efforts , ensuring seamless execution of synergies and long-term value creation.
Your Profile
- 5–8 years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity , ideally with exposure to the retail or consumer sectors .
- Proven track record of leading transactions , with deep expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring .
- Strong strategic mindset , capable of translating market insights and financial data into actionable corporate growth strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills , with the ability to engage with C-level executives and external partners.
- High proficiency in financial analysis, scenario planning, and risk assessment within an M&A context.
- Fluent in German and English ; additional European languages are a plus.
