Job Title – Strategic Sourcing Lead

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing Lead to lead the sourcing activities for Germany, Austria, Spain and Italy
2. Manage customer relationship with stakeholders in these regions
3. Understanding the training requirements of customers and sourcing the best training supplier in the market
4. Manage good working relationships with the training suppliers
5. Obtaining quotes from different suppliers and creating standard bid summaries by assessing the quotes
6. Negotiate on the proposals from training suppliers to provide customers with the most competitive pricing in the market
7. Develop and deliver cost savings through implementing optimum sourcing strategies
8. Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation
9. Coordinate multiple tasks and detailed activities in a time-intensive work environment
10. Correspond with customer and training partners for all training delivery-related communications like dates and venue finalizing, registering the learner for training etc
11. Use a data-driven approach to rationalize supplier base
12. Maintain data integrity among different systems internally
13. Identify opportunities for operational excellence and cost-saving for customers
14. Follow best practice processes, and suggest Lean opportunities
15. Experience in working with suppliers in the Learning industry will be considered a strong plus
16. Experience with sourcing in international markets and supplier quality assessment
17. Demonstrated success in developing and fostering relationships with suppliers while driving lower costs, superior performance, and continuous improvement
18. Experience in monitoring and managing work queues
19. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
20. Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation
21. Sound time-management and organizational skills
22. Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
23. Capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
