Event Specialist (m/w/d)

We are seeking an experienced Event Specialist (m/w/d) to lead Changan’s brand activations across Europe. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and PR at Changan Europe, this role will be responsible for planning and executing high-impact brand events while providing strategic guidance and support to local markets for their event initiatives. The Event Specialist will ensure all activations—from large-scale brand events to retail-level experiences—are executed effectively, driving awareness, engagement, and lead generation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute major brand events across Europe, including product launches, test drive experiences, and large-scale activations.
• Establish an event framework that ensures consistency, efficiency, and brand alignment across all markets.
• Guide and support local markets in planning and executing their event activations, ensuring best practices and brand consistency.
• Activate local test drive events, ensuring they are designed to maximize customer experience, engagement, and lead generation.
• Oversee event activations across all levels, from large-scale brand initiatives to dealer and retail activations.
• Lead the selection, onboarding, and management of event agencies and vendors to deliver high-quality experiences.
• Manage event logistics, budgeting, and execution, ensuring seamless operations and high-impact results.
• Oversee media and influencer event participation in coordination with the PR and Social Media teams.
• Track and evaluate event performance, gathering insights to refine future strategies and improve ROI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business, or similar qualification
• Several years of experience in event planning and execution, preferably in the automotive, luxury, or technology sectors.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale brand activations, retail-level events, and test drive experiences.
• Experience working with agencies, vendors, and event partners across multiple markets.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent budget management and negotiation skills.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in German and English.
• Willingness to travel for event planning and execution.
