Software Engineer for Image Algorithms (m/f/d) – Bensheim, Germany

We are looking for an experienced and talented Imaging Performance Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. This individual will work on algorithms measuring the imaging performance of our x-ray devices and statistically evaluate the results.

Your Role:

• Ensure the imaging performance of our x-ray devices.
• Statistical evaluation of x-ray data.
• Develop algorithms and software to measure imaging performance parameters (noise, spatial resolution, contrast, …) in a scrum team.
• Perform root cause analysis on image quality issues in production and in the field.
• Support the product owner in defining epics, writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation.
• Ensure unit and integration test coverage.

Your Profile:

Education : MS or PhD in computer science, mathematics, physics or related engineering disciplines.

Years and Type of Experience :

• 3+ years experience in at least one of the following areas: Imaging, Image Processing, Computer Vision.
• 3+ years experience in processing large amounts of data.
• Experience in software development.
• Experience in CI/CD, Containerization (Docker) and Cloud Computing (e.g., GCP, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
• Experience in the field of medical imaging, in particular CT imaging, and the development of medical devices is an advantage.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:

• Ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Work in an agile environment with a “hands-on” mentality.
• Good knowledge in the programming language C++ or comparable.
• Very good knowledge in Python, MATLAB or comparable.
• Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge in statistical evaluation is an advantage.
• Self-organized and self-reliant, but willing to learn and share knowledge.
• Technical enthusiast with a broad overview constantly eager to engage in new technologies and challenges.
• Open-minded, communicative, and strong commitment.
