Your mission
- Trade Credit Insurance : Application for credit limits and reporting to trade credit insurers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Receivables Management : Collaboration with lawyers/collection agencies and escalation of overdue payments (monitoring open orders, blocking customers, sending reminders).
- Proactive Solution Finding : Developing innovative approaches with customers and sales to quickly settle outstanding receivables.
- Risk Management : Risk assessment and decision-making, evaluation of annual financial statements of our international business partners, guarantee management.
- Management Reporting : Reporting of overdue accounts and risks to senior management.
- Strategic Process Optimization : Further development of processes and policies in credit and risk management.
- Collaboration/Project Work : Close coordination with sales and other departments to maximize business opportunities and participation in projects to improve internal business processes.
Your profile
- Completed degree with a focus on finance or a comparable qualification, along with relevant further education (e.g., Controller, Accountant) and additional training in credit or analysis (e.g., CFA, CCrA, CIIA) is desirable.
- Professional experience in Credit Risk Management, ideally in an internationally active medium-sized industrial or trading company.
- Communicative personality, capable of acting as a sparring partner for international sales, identifying opportunities to enable more business and reduce risks.
- Knowledge of national and international accounting standards and financial statement analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP software (ideally SAGE 100) and strong Excel skills.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; additional language skills (e.g., Spanish) are an advantage.
- Quick to grasp new concepts, with strong analytical thinking and a structured, precise working style.
- Experienced in working in a multicultural environment.
