Earthstream are proud to be recruiting a Controls Software Engineer for a world leading automation & data driven business that uses innovative technology to shape the future of intralogistics.
Job Role: Controls Software Engineer
Location: Dortmund
Salary: €60,000 – €65,000 plus overtime, travel allowances and benefits.
As a Controls Software Engineer your remit will include:
- You deliver the product solution, fully tested, commissioned and documented for our customers.
- In your role, you are responsible for the software engineering of control systems for fully automated warehouse management systems.
- The specification, design, coding and testing of the control software are part of your tasks.
- You build and maintain relationships with customers (internal and external).
- You coordinate the requirements and create the specifications.
- You support your colleagues in support through second and third level support.
- You represent the company in internal and external meetings.
What you will bring to the position:
- You have successfully completed a degree in electrical engineering/automation technology as a Bachelor, Master, technician (or comparable).
- You have in-depth knowledge of at least one of the following hardware platforms: Beckhoff TwinCAT or Siemens S7.
- You have experience in object-oriented programming.
- You are also able to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams.
- You have already gained practical experience in electrical/control engineering and electrical installation.
- You have excellent knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of Industrial Ethernet and modern fieldbuses (EtherCAT, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, AS-i), AC drives and design experience of HMI systems would be an advantage.
- You communicate fluently in German, your English language skills are at level B2.
