ABOUT THE TEAM
The Unzer Issuing and Banking team is focused on building modern and outstanding Issuing products used by our merchants. Our portfolio includes the whole financial product portfolio from card issuing and management, risk, compliance, monitoring, application and backend features, plus complementary banking solutions, and we are excited to keep adding more valuable features for our customers.
As a (Senior) Product Manager – Issuing and Banking you will lead your team to build the new Issuing product of Unzer from scratch, in a cross-functional collaboration with other teams into an outstanding product offering.
What your work will look like:
- Define and craft Unzer’s next generation Issuing and Banking solution from scratch for the German market and beyond.
- Build and execute the Issuing and Banking roadmap of Unzer with your dedicated development team.
- Own the product experience for the lifecycle of our issuing customer, from signup to activation, growth and retention.
- Collaborate and work closely alongside commercial, engineering, design, legal, risk and compliance early in the product development and for growth opportunities.
- You will be the internal and external first point of contact and take care of internal knowledge, training, and communication.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- You have 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in financial services or adjacent environments with proven expertise in an issuing bank organization, card scheme invoice, settlement, and reconciliation.
- EMV specifications and ISO standards like 8583 or 20022 are familiar to you.
- Experience building card issuing and related banking solutions and understanding the mechanics of managing a credit/debit portfolio including the relevant regulations.
- You exercise the Product thinking and an owner mindset.
- You have excellent written and verbal English communication skills – you can drive meetings and lead discussions.
- You can prioritise, challenge, and evaluate the requirements of your stakeholders and represent our customers in regards of the product roadmap to secure the company\’s vision for the product.
- You have a solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience building platform and/or API products.
