You will be part of the high energy Development Team and you will focus on new business in Germany. You will contribute to our growth in new business opportunities in Germany by acquiring new sites/assets and setting up new partnerships for their realization. As Senior Development Manager, you are an important player within EDGE and not only responsible for the success of your projects but also for further growth and professionalization of the organization.
Responsibilities you have
- Management of mixed-use, predominantly residential and office real estate projects
- Have a leading role within the acquisition, design and development process in a project
- Set up predictable business plans and work accordingly
- Preparation of project studies, feasibility studies, coordination with building regulations
- Negotiations with construction companies, planners, project managers, investors, tenants, and authorities
- Work closely and manage interdisciplinary teams, external service partners, and construction companies
- Monitoring of project objectives (costs, schedules, and quality) in all project phases
- Monitoring compliance with contractual, technical, and legal frameworks
- Tenant and buyer support during project development
Your skills/ personality
- Completed studies in engineering (fields such as architecture, civil engineering, or similar)
- At least 12 years of professional experience, preferably in project development, project management and controlling of projects ideally in the residential construction sector
- International experience is preferred
- Self-reliant, good problem solver, innovator, results oriented, enthusiastic personality and high level of energy
- Ability to cope with time pressure and dynamic surroundings and precise in execution
- Ability to motivate and lead (project) teams and to think strategically
- Skilled in navigating building regulations, HOAI and VOB
- Good knowledge of technical trades during the planning and execution process
- Good knowledge of sustainability requirements in the construction industry, including DGNB as well as resource-efficient energy supply and sustainable construction methods.
- Strong social skills and natural drive to grow (y)our network
- Very good written, oral and interpersonal skills (German and English)
